the horn student's silver lining
Everything is upside down while we all deal with our new “normal”. So I have been thinking…what is the silver lining in all of this?
I have several, actually.
*I am at home more.
*I get to be more involved in my kids’ studies.
*I am definitely outside more taking in nature, not rushing hither and yon.
*I have more gratitude for those folks out there making sure the daily wheels still turn (like the mail carriers, food suppliers, doctors, nurses, first responders – shout out to my hubs, to name a few).
…there are many more, but those strike me deeply.
One of the very REAL struggles is for the music student. Do you know one? or are one?
I have a HUGE SILVER LINING for you.
I’m calling it (with all due respect for the serious nature of the situation):
The COR-onavirus COR-antine COR-rection!! or CCC, or Triple C, or…..
You have wanted to adjust or MOVE your embouchure, but had (pick one):
1. All-State auditions
2. Music school auditions
3. Band or Orchestra concerts
4. Senior recital
5. (fill in the reason there wasn’t the time or chance to deal with it)
There TRULY is no better time. You have TIME and NO rehearsals or concerts.
What else do you need to fix?? I would love to hear about it.
