being transitive

I bet I'm not alone in spending a lot of time reflecting on everything: life, the past, the future. Some of us are more active in creativity, some much less.

Life has been paused wether we like it or not. What are the lessons here? I wrote a few weeks back about silver linings and the positives that can come out of negatives.

Today I think about that in-between part. The part of moving from one thing to the next, the negative into the positive, or the positive into the negative- the action in the middle.

Transitive (Oxford) is passing from one state to another, something (or someone) that is changeable; not lasting, transient, characterized by or involving transition.

We are constantly being transitive - we are constantly transitive beings.

It strikes me that no matter where we are on our journey we are transitive and that moment temporary. And that every part of the journey, or transition (because really, our journey is transitive) can teach us. Anytime I learn, I grow. Sometimes growth hurts, but it is growth nonetheless.

What are you learning while being transitive?

I am learning that every moment matters and deserves awareness, take nothing (and no one for granted). I am learning that everything has multiple perspectives, and none should be more valued than the other, because I only own mine and so that's the one I trust, even while my perspectives transition. I trust me.

I am learning that this too shall pass. The world is transitive, my friends and loved ones are transitive, learning is transitive, this global experience is transitive. My experience of all of this will transition too.

Love your growth, love your transitive being, love being transitive, love your journey (one day you'll transition to an age where you will look back on your journey, why not make it a happy reflection?)...and most of all, love the in between - the transition, the BEING.
